SOME AREAS OF QLD & NSW ARE GREENER THAN EVER TO THE FARMERS DELIGHT

IT’S business as usual for beef producer Ray Belz, Murrumba, Esk, after finishing most of his flood fencing early this week.

The Gallanani and Coal Creeks flooded Mr Belz’s property, just outside Esk.

However, he isn’t complaining after receiving 297 millimetres of soaking rain.

Mr Belz said the rain had been nicely spread out over the past week.

“It’s been very dry here for a while; we only got a little bit of rain in December,” Mr Belz said.

“All the rain just went straight into the ground, and there wasn’t much run-off at all.”

“The only damage we had was the flood fencing, so really we got through it with no troubles at all.

“Everything looks lovely, the brown paddocks have turned green again, and now we’re sitting back and enjoying it,” Mr Belz said.
